Shipping instructions

We deliver orders made from within our shop within Europe only.

The expected delivery time is shown in the shopping cart. The delivery time depends, among other things, on which material and size you choose and whether you order your print with a picture frame. We print our wall art especially for you in our own print house as soon as we receive your order, and we produce our frames by hand in our frame manufacture to fit your art print perfectly.

We ship our products from Germany, depending on the package size, by DHL, DPD or by courier. You will be informed of the shipment number of the respective service provider within the dispatch e-mail. Products that come under the category of size S will be sent out with Deutsche Post without tracking. Our shipping service providers work with local shipping partners in the respective delivery countries.

Please make sure that the name on your letter box or doorbell is legible. If you cannot receive your parcel at home during the day, you may inform us of an alternative delivery address, e.g. your work address.
If the parcel cannot be delivered directly to your hands, a note in your letter box will provide information on where your parcel can be picked up.

Shipping costs

The shipping costs depend on the product type as well as the size of your product.

If your order contains different product types and/or sizes, we will charge the flat rate for the higher shipping category (S, M or L). The shipping costs for your delivery will be displayed in the shopping cart.

Delivery of large goods

Products categorised as size L are delivered by our courier service by truck and to the public kerbside or road area closest to your delivery address. The courier does not carry the consignment to your front door unless otherwise expressly agreed.

Please note that shipments may not be delivered to the kerbside if your delivery address:

  • is located in a traffic-reduced area or can only be reached via such an area;
  • is on a road which, due to its permissible total weight, cannot be driven on by truck or can only be reached via such a road;
  • is on a road which is too narrow for a lorry to pass (even temporarily, e.g. due to parked vehicles or a construction site) or can only be reached via such a road;
  • is in a cul-de-sac;
  • is located on a site which cannot be accessed without authorisation.

If any of these restrictions apply to your desired delivery address or if you are unsure, please contact our customer service before ordering.

At the time of delivery, you or another person must be present to receive the goods personally, as the receipt of goods must be confirmed in writing. In order for the courier to be able to arrange a desired delivery date and time window with you or to reach you or the recipient at short notice, you will be asked to provide a telephone number during the ordering process. It is unfortunately not possible to determine an exact time of delivery in advance.

Please note: Due to logistical reasons we cannot deliver our larger sizes to certain countries and regions. This includes, for example, the United Kingdom or other islands or island groups. If there is a restriction of this sort for your delivery address, a note will be displayed in the shopping basket and checkout.

Damages in transit

Please report any obvious transport damage directly to the courier and contact us as soon as possible so that we can assert our claims against the courier or with the transport insurance. However, it does not in any way affect your legal rights as a consumer if you do not report the damage immediately.

Delivery to non-EU countries and territories

If you choose to ship to a country or territory that is not part of the EU Customs Union and/or EU VAT area, you may be subject to customs duties, customs clearance charges as well as local taxes when importing goods, depending on the value of the goods, shipping costs and other factors. As a general rule, these are to be paid by yourself as Posterlounge does not assume any import duties. If a delivery address outside the EU Customs Union and/or EU VAT area is selected, the invoice amount will be calculated excluding VAT.

Different conditions apply to the United Kingdom and Switzerland: if your delivery address is located in one of these countries, we will handle the processing for you, so that you will not have to take care of customs clearance yourself.

In Norway we are listed in the VOEC (VAT on E-Commerce) register.

We recommend that you inform yourself about any import duties for goods before placing your order. Please also note that packages can be opened and checked for content by the customs authorities.
