Itô Jakuchu Prints

The 18th century Japanese painter Itō Jakuchū was ahead of his time. His visionary art consisted, among other things, of creating a comprehensive colour spectrum in the viewer with only a few basic tones. Aluminium prints and wood prints with dark backgrounds allow this painting technique to come to life. Jakuchū is especially known for his realistic and vivid depictions of birds.
