name: Velichanskaia, Anna

Anna Velichanskaia was born in Russia in 1980.
At the age of 16 she ran away from her family to Israel.
She finished high-school, did the compulsory 2 years of army service and made a degree in Visual Communication at "Bazalel" -The Academy of Art and Design, in Jerusalem, which she graduated last year with distinction.
At the moment Anna is living in Jerusalem and working as a freelance illustrator and designer.

She says about herself:

I am a creative Person.
I have lots of ideas going through my head.
And what ever idea comes up to be a fresh, unusual and interesting I would depict it straight away on paper with a pencil. I get my inspiration mostly from non-commercial cinema and literature. The main philosophy of my artwork is to make it both conceptual and attractive. All other things like colour, shape and even technique complement to the main idea.
